I heard this song on the radio when I was 10-11 - I still remember the house and the room and it was on my transistor radio at my desk. I remember the tune being so haunting - it stayed with me for years yet I didn't know what it was called. Today I heard it again for the first time in so long on a radio station playing in an op shop - nearly 30 years later and the melody was so familiar in my memory - I listened out for the lyrics specifically this time so I would know what it is called. I believe we hear songs for a reason sometimes.

Všechny boží děti potřebují cestovní boty\nOdvedou tvoje problémy odsud\nVšichni dobří lidé čtou dobré knihy\nNyní je tvoje svědomí čisté\nSlyším, říkáš dívce\nNyní je tvoje svědomí čisté\n\nRáno si utírám obočí\nUtírám na míle pryč\nRáda si myslím, že mohu mít takovou vůli\nA nikdy nedělat, co říkáš\nNikdy tě nebudu poslouchat\nA nikdy nedělat, co říkáš\n\nPodívej, moje oči jsou jen hologramy\nPodívej, tvoje láska bere červeň z mých rukou\nZ mých rukou ty víš, že nikdy nebudeš\nVíc než zvrat v mé střízlivosti\nVíc než zvrat v mé střízlivosti\nVíc než zvrat v mé střízlivosti\n\nPrávě jsme zvraceli kousek koláče\nPro pobavení lidí v noci\nPozdě v noci není třeba nepřátelství\nBojácné úsměvy a přestávka se osvobodit\n\nNestarám se o jejich odlišné myšlenky\nOdlišné myšlenky jsou dobré pro mě\nVe zbrani a cudná a celá\nVšechny Boží děti si vybraly svou daň\n\nPodívej, moje oči jsou jen hologramy\nPodívej, tvoje láska bere červeň z mých rukou\nZ mých rukou ty víš, že nikdy nebudeš\nVíc než zvrat v mé střízlivosti\nVíc než zvrat v mé střízlivosti\nVíc než zvrat v mé střízlivosti\n\nŠálek čaje, dává čas přemýšlet\nČas riskovat život, život, život\nSladký a hezký\nJemný a energický\nTy si vyber dokud vidíš světlo\nVyber si dokud vidíš světlo\n\nPolovina lidí čte noviny\nČtou je dobří a dobře\nKrásní lidé, nervózní lidé\nLidé, kteří je dostali k prodeji\nZprávy ty musíš prodávat\n\nPodívej, moje oči jsou jen hologramy\nPodívej, tvoje láska bere krev z mých rukou\nZ mých rukou ty víš, že nikdy nebudeš\nVíc než zvrat v mé střízlivosti\nVíc než zvrat v mé střízlivosti\nVíc než zvrat v mé střízlivosti

Weird. I havent heard this song in nearly 30 years, but it left a lasting imprint in my being even though I couldnt remember what it sounded like. Listening to it again now after all these years, I really dont recognise it. Its so much more somber and simple than I remember

There's deep feeling in this song that is sometimes lacking in modern tracks - like staring into the depths of the ocean - deep and mesmerising. just as magical as it's always been. This song feels as ancient as the ocean. have a great day everyone! many blessings. :-) X
